WHAT IS INTERNSHIP QUEST?

Internship Quest is a comprehensive program that enables young people to develop the skills and competencies required for the 21st century workforce. Internship Quest can expedite the time-consuming, labor-intensive process of building an internship program by offering schools a complete package of materials and training.

WHY ENGAGE IN INTERNSHPS?

Expectations of employers for their 21st century workforce are increasing and most likely will continue. Schools are essential in the development of the skills needed for this high performance workforce. And work-based learning is an important component in the development of these skills.

So many current reports and studies cite the need for work-based and experiential learning to address the needs of ALL high school students, but mostly the at risk student, the dropout and the student who learns best by doing. Many high schools also use Senior Projects to add rigor to the senior year and internships can be an integral part of those projects.

Too many schools hesitate to begin an internship program because they believe that internships are:
